Detailed Job Description
San Antonio Music Academy (SAMA) was founded in January of 2010 and has grown to about 300 students and 13 instructors. We currently offer instruction for guitar, piano, voice, drums, and violin. SAMA seeks to provide a well-rounded program offering ensemble classes, formal recitals, public performance opportunities, and master classes in addition to our private lessons. SAMA instructors are expected to encourage proper practicing techniques and as well as set accomplishable goals that will help their students grow into proficient musicians. All instructors are expected to build up their students’ repertoire and will have a chance to showcase this talent at SAMA’s formal recitals. SAMA instructors are allowed to teach based upon their own curriculum and encouraged to tailor lessons towards an individual student’s needs and interests.
