What the Interview Process Look Likes
After sending your resume, filling out the online application, & completing the Personal Strengths Profile, our admin team will contact eligible applicants for an in-person interview.
Interview 1
- Performance of two contrasting pieces – at least one from a classical genre (Renaissance, Baroque, Classical & Romantic, Modern). *The pieces do not have to be memorized.
- Reading of 3 short sight reading pieces
*Vocalists – Feel free to bring a recording or live accompanist to sing along with.
If the first interview goes well, you’ll be contacted for a second interview.
Interview 2
- Teach two 15-minute lessons to current students of the academy
How to get a Head Start
The above interview requirements can be fulfilled by sending youtube links of the following to careers@samusicacademy.com.
- 2 performance videos (a least one piece from a classical genre)
- 3 teaching videos of at least 10 minutes each
