Violin Rental FAQs
How do I know what violin size I need?
Don’t worry about choosing the right size. We’ll professionally measure you or your child at the academy to ensure the violin fits comfortably and is the correct size.
What if my child outgrows their violin?
Most students need to move up through several violin sizes before reaching a full-size instrument. Renting allows you to easily exchange for the next size as your child grows, so you always have the right fit without the expense of buying multiple violins.
What's included with my rental?
Every rental includes a violin, bow, case, and routine maintenance. If your instrument needs an adjustment due to normal wear, simply bring it by the academy.
What's covered under maintenance?
Routine maintenance is included at no additional cost. Just bring your violin to San Antonio Music Academy for string changes and adjustments to the bridge, soundpost, chin rest, or pegs as needed from normal wear and tear.
Is there a security deposit?
No. Unlike many rental programs, we do not require a security deposit.
Can I return the violin at any time?
Yes. Our rentals are month-to-month, so you can return your violin at any time. Simply bring it back to San Antonio Music Academy in person.
Can I purchase books or accessories when I pick up my violin?
Absolutely. If you need a lesson book, shoulder rest, extra rosin, or other accessories, just let us know and we’ll have everything ready when you pick up your rental.

Through their experience and education, our violin instructors have the proficiency to train beginner, intermediate, and advanced students, helping them grow into the best violin players they can be.
