She began singing with the Children’s Chorus of San Antonio, which gave her the opportunity to perform with the San Antonio Symphony under the direction of Maestro Ken-David Masur, the San Antonio Master Singers under the direction of Dr. John Silantien, and the San Antonio Opera. She has studied privately with Irma Taute, and in high school with Linda Poetschke of the University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA). Sarah has competed multiple times in the National Association of Teachers of Singing (NATS), competing both on the local and state level as well as competing in state UIL solo & ensemble competitions. Sarah graduated from the Boston Conservatory at Berklee, earning a Bachelor of Music in voice performance under the coaching direction of Dr. Marylin Bulli and Dr. Michelle Alexander. Sarah has performed as a soloist both in a recital setting and in a chorus setting.
Sarah graduated with her Master of Music in vocal performance and pedagogy from UTSA in May of 2019. She enjoys working with each student and finding the best ways for them to learn in an enjoyable environment. In her spare time, Sarah and her husband Joseph keep their hands full with their son Charles, born October 2016.
