Update: Lessons at new location start AUGUST 5

We have some exciting news: San Antonio Music Academy is moving to a new building, and you get to be the 1st generation of students in the new space!

SAMA has been growing steadily over the past 14 years that we’ve been in business. We are outgrowing our current space and thus will be moving from our current location to a larger space.

The best part is the new location was designed as a music school, with better sound proofing for the drum and band rooms, and better isolation overall between all other private lesson rooms. We know this will contribute to a better overall learning environment. In addition, we’ll have 2 more group classrooms, so be on the lookout for new group class announcements.

Located in the Alamo Ranch area, it’s just 4 miles and only 7-9 minutes from our current location. There will be more parking spaces available, more lobby seating, and additional restroom stalls as we’ve seen a consistent line lately for the bathrooms. There is also a lot of shopping available in the area for those that want to take care of picking up dinner or running errands during their student’s lesson.

Mark your calendars: Starting Monday, August 5th, all lessons will be held at our new location. From that date, there will be no lessons held at Braun and 1604. We’ll be sure to give you email and text reminders along the way. We’ll also give reminders in person at the academy, in addition to the posters and flyers we have available.

We thank you for being a part of the growth SAMA has experienced over the years. We are honored and feel this is a testament to our high standards and quality of instructors on staff, in addition to the care and varied opportunities SAMA provides for its students. We’re excited to share this new experience with you!

FAQ

How is parking?

There will be proportionally more parking spaces. In addition, there are no restaurants in the new shopping center. We’re looking forward to no longer having Little Woodrow’s and Fast Eddie’s take up all the parking. In addition, several businesses in the new shopping center close at 5pm, freeing up more space.

How is the seating in the lobby?

The new lobby is bigger. Our current location has 13 seating places. The new lobby is expected to have about 30 places. We also predict with the amount of shopping available in the area, more people will be dropping off their students to take care of dinner plans or to run errands.

What will the new group classrooms be used for?

In addition to a student band room, the new location will have two additional group classrooms. We plan to use the new classrooms for small group lessons of about 5 to 6 students. Some of these group classes will include group piano, group guitar, group violin, group voice. We’ll make announcements once the new classes open for registration.
