Introducing Our Junior Band Program: No Auditions required!
Designed for students ages 13–17, our Junior Band Program gives developing musicians the chance to experience playing in a real band. Students learn popular songs together, develop ensemble skills, and gain experience rehearsing and performing as a group. No band experience is required, and songs are adapted to fit each student’s current skill level.
Here is a link to the sheet music that we’ll be playing during the free demo class. Please speak with your private lesson instructor to help you prepare. You do not need to play all 3 songs; you’re welcome to play just the ones you’re comfortable with.
Rock the Stage with Simplified Hits!
Students will learn popular rock and pop songs, arranged by their instructor to match their skill level. Our band class isn’t just about learning notes. It’s about real-world experience!
Performance Opportunities
Students will perform 2–3 times yearly at the same community events and venues as our Varsity Bands, giving them a taste of the spotlight.

With only 5-7 members per group, each student plays a vital role, ensuring accountability and camaraderie. Ready to start? Join us and watch your child thrive as they create music—and memories—together!
Please note that space is limited as the band class time below only allows for 5-7 students. We recommend registering early to secure your spot. If demand exceeds capacity, registrants will be added to a waitlist and notified first when another band class time opens up.

Must be enrolled in private lessons at San Antonio Music Academy

Guitarists and Bassists must have their own electric guitar or bass. Violinists must have their own violin. Drums and Keyboard are provided in the band room.
