Josette Garcia, Violin Instructor
Josette is no stranger to the SAMA community as she has served as a regular substitute instructor for the past few years. She developed her love for music through her father, who was a professional jazz musician in Chicago during the 1970s and 1980s. She began playing violin in the 5th grade and has parlayed that passion into performances and competitions, including the UTSA 2024-25 Concerto and Aria Competition. Josette is currently pursuing her degree in Violin Performance at the University of Texas San Antonio. When she isn’t playing violin, she’s engaged in oil paintings and enjoying classic Hollywood movies.
