Jade Hinnant, M.A., Piano Instructor

Jade Hinnant, born in the quiet town of Hondo, Texas, has dedicated her career to one that enables her to blend her love for communication, education, and music. Her educational journey began at Baptist University of the Americas in San Antonio, Texas, from 2013 to 2015, where she completed the first two years of her undergraduate studies. Her hunger for knowledge and passion for communication studies led her to Texas State University in San Marcos, Texas, where she not only earned a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Studies in the spring of 2018 but also completed a Master of Arts in Communication Studies in the spring of 2020.

While higher education guided Jade through the worlds of communication and education, she is equally devoted to sharing her passion for music. Her musical journey began at the age of 7 when she started piano lessons and was instantly captivated. Over the years, her love for music found expression in various forms, from playing and singing with her closest friends to performing at weddings. Music, for Jade, has been a source of solace during the most challenging times of her life, and she’s eager to share its magic with others.

Jade has dedicated herself to educating and nurturing young minds. Her teaching journey began with tutoring a remarkable fifth-grader while attending college, igniting her passion for education and communication. She went on to teach the undergraduate course Intro to Communication at Texas State and continued private tutoring and teaching. Jade also seized the opportunity to substitute teach at an IDEA charter school, tutoring students from kindergarten to fifth grade in the Girl Scouts’ after-school program, guiding girls through outdoor-related educational activities.

Today, Jade is thrilled to be part of the SAMA team as an educator deeply passionate about music. It’s not just a part of her life; it’s an integral part of who she is.

Beyond her professional pursuits, she’s a true Texan who feels most at home outdoors, surrounded by her people and beloved horses. She finds herself at home in the charming countryside and has a deep affinity for the simplicity and beauty of rural life. Her hobbies include working with horses, enjoying the sun at the beach, creating art, and spending quality time with her favorite people. Jade also has a strong desire to practice Spanish and immerse herself in the world of swing dancing and is always eager to find a partner for either or both of these endeavors.
