Dr. Eric Young, B.A., Pharm. D,
Piano Instructor

Eric was raised in Midland, Texas and started playing piano at the age of 5. He quickly fell in love with classical music from composers such as Chopin, Liszt and Schumann. Eric went on to study music under Professor Gregory Allen at University of Texas(UT) Austin where he graduated in 2014. He began teaching piano as an undergraduate student at the recommendation of Professor Allen who felt that Eric would be a great teacher. Eric graduated from UT with a Bachelor of Arts in Music, with a concentration in piano and music theory. Eric has also earned his Doctorate in Pharmacy, but music remains his main passion.

Eric held a position as Piano Instructor at the Greater Austin Music Academy where he taught both private lessons and group classes in addition to music theory. Eric has taught students from beginner to advanced levels and looks forward to helping each of his students play to the best of their ability.

In his spare time, Eric loves learning languages. He can speak Mandarin Chinese and Spanish conversationally, Portuguese and Russian moderately conversational and is currently learning Japanese. Along with language learning, he loves to travel. He hopes to visit 50 countries before the age of 35. In 2022, Eric graduated with a Doctorate of Philosophy in Pharmaceutical Science.
