
Andres Losada, M.M., Piano Instructor
Andres Losada is a classically trained opera singer and music educator, originally from Bogotá, Colombia. He completed his Bachelor of Music at the Central University of Colombia in 2019, where he studied voice under renowned sopranos Sara Catarine and Camila Toro, and piano with Bibiana Carvajal and Lisa Kida.
In 2019, Andres moved to Texas to further his studies. He earned a Master of Music in Opera Performance at The University of Texas at Austin in 2021, under the mentorship of Metropolitan Opera singers Donnie Ray Albert and Jill Grove. Currently, he is completing an Artist Diploma in Voice and Opera Performance at Texas Christian University.
Over his career, Andres has received numerous awards, including the Barbara Smith Conrad Endowed Presidential Scholarship in Fine Arts, the Willa Stewart Setseck Scholarship, the Gilbert & Sullivan Scholarship, and accolades from the Margaret King Stanley Vocal Competition. He has performed in prestigious venues, collaborating with organizations such as Opera San Antonio, Fort Worth Opera, and the Colombia National Opera. His versatility as a performer extends across various musical styles, from opera and classical to jazz, rock, and popular music.
Andres has over a decade of experience teaching voice and piano, having taught at Fundacion Arte y Opera Para Todos and conducted masterclasses at the Central University of Colombia. He is fluent in English, Spanish, and Italian, but also has basic knowledge in French, German, Russian, and Korean pronunciation. Since moving to Texas, San Antonio has become his home, where he continues to expand his musical journey.
