
Daniel Paquot B.A., Piano Instructor
Daniel Paquot is a dedicated piano instructor, educator, and performer with more than 16 years of teaching experience. Originally from Monterrey, Mexico, Daniel began studying piano at the age of six and discovered his passion for music at age 12 after hearing a guest pianist perform Chopin’s Fantasy Impromptu. He studied at the Escuela Superior de Música y Danza de Monterrey under Carolina Olivares and Patricia Alvarado before earning a Bachelor of Arts in Music from Baptist University of the Americas under Daniel Zamora. In 2010, he earned 2nd Place in the Parnassos National Youth Piano Competition in Monterrey, Mexico.
Daniel has taught piano in a variety of settings throughout Mexico and the United States, including private studios, educational institutions, and universities. His experience includes teaching at Sala Beethoven, Seminario Bautista Hickey, Baptist University of the Americas, and San Antonio Music Academy. He has also served as Adjunct Faculty of Music at Baptist University of the Americas, Choir Director at Bernal and Briscoe Middle Schools, and pianist at First Mexican Baptist Church. In 2023, he was recognized as First Year Teacher of the Year at Bernal Middle School. He specializes in classical and gospel music and enjoys helping students build confidence and a lifelong appreciation for music.
Daniel is bilingual in English and Spanish and enjoys connecting with students from diverse backgrounds. He and his wife, Rachel, have called San Antonio home since 2013. Outside of teaching, Daniel enjoys cooking, especially barbecue, and is a devoted Star Wars fan. Whether in the classroom, at the piano, or in the kitchen, he brings enthusiasm, creativity, and dedication to everything he does.
