Sean Aldrete, B.A.,
Sean has been living in San Antonio since 2014. He attended University of Texas at San Antonio and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in English in 2017. Throughout middle school and high school, Sean played in the percussion section of the school band, performing bass drum in the drumline as well as drum set in the jazz band. Starting in 2015, Sean worked in management at several movie theatre chains in San Antonio, New Braunfels and Kyle where he hired, scheduled, and trained over two-hundred team members in each location. He enjoys riding his bike every day, often riding up to 15 miles a day, while listening to his favorite bands such as Interpol, Joyce Manor, and Manchester Orchestra. He fell in love with music when he snuck into his dad’s record cabinet and listened to Led Zeppelin’s How the West Was Won live album. Anytime Sean feels any sort of distress or anxiety, he refers to a lyric from Pinegrove’s Old Friends, “there’s nothing really bad to be upset about.” In his down time, Sean enjoys giving his cat, Kanuk, head scratches and writing short comedic stories based on his experiences with friends and family.
