Kelsey, a San Antonio native, has over five years experience in early childhood development. She gained this opportunity while working as an administrator at an inclusion pre-school and while substitute teaching for children of elementary school age. She has also served as the primary private caregiver for two children under the age of 6, teaching them sound values, and practical skills such as reading and writing. Through her experiences she has learned that she truly enjoys working with children of all ages and therefore continues to pursue a position that complements and suits her strengths. Currently Kelsey is a student of San Antonio College in pursuit of an Associate of Arts in Architecture. A fervent student, she aspires to be to like great American architect of the early 20th century, Marion Griffin. Kelsey is expected to graduate in the fall of 2016, where she will then transfer to the University of Texas at San Antonio in order to obtain her bachelor’s degree. Kelsey’s passion for music started early in middle school when she began to take viola lessons. As she’s started her professional career, she’s also developed a strong interest in business and the many aspects involved, specifically creating a positive experience for all those involved. Through her role at SAMA, she hopes to spread the joy of music to others and looks forward to doing so in a genuine way that will further enhance the academy.
