Florian Love, A.A.T.
Florian, a San Antonio Native, knew he wanted to play the violin the very first time he saw the movie “Music of the Heart” at the age of 7. He held on to this deep desire until he started middle school where he first had the opportunity to begin his violin studies. He was hooked from that first moment on! He knew that violin would be his career and life long passion.
Florian received his Associate of Arts in Teaching, K-12 education from San Antonio College in 2017 under the direction of Beth Johnson. Currently, he is studying string pedagogy under Dr. Stephanie Tepley-Westney at the University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA). Florian has five years of teaching experience both with private students of his own and with the Roma Independent School District Orchestras. He has also held the role of principal Violinist with Mariachi Estrellas del Alamo, and he has played with both University of Incarnate Word and UTSA Orchestras. He specializes in classical, mariachi and jazz styles of music.
While violin is Florian’s primary instrument of study, he is able to and has experience teaching viola, cello, and bass.
In Florian’s spare time he loves to cook and write new recipes. He has studied Russian, German, and American Sign Language. His dream is to build a High School trade magnet program focusing on lutherie, acoustics, and instrumental performance.
