SAMA Elite
SAMA's Premier Vocal Performance Group
The SAMA Elite is a program designed for SAMA vocalists that are capable of performing at a more advanced level. In the program, vocalists have the opportunity to perform in public venues to get real world performance experience. In addition to performing as a soloist, Elite members also have the opportunity to sing with other Elite members. This is facilitated by having a weekly one-hour class where Elite students rehearse together with their peers.

SAMA Elite FAQ
How can I be part of the SAMA Elite?
SAMA students interested in joining the SAMA Elite must first be recommended by their instructor. Once you receive a recommendation, you will then fulfill an audition requirement which may be in the form of a performance or an audition in front of your primary instructor and the SAMA director.
Do I have to be enrolled in private lessons in order to be part of the SAMA Elite?
Yes, students that are members of SAMA Elite must be enrolled in private lessons. Members of the Elite are performing at a higher level so private lessons are essential to making continuous progress as a vocalist.
When is the SAMA Elite class?
The SAMA Elite meets once a week for a one-hour ensemble class on Tuesdays from 6:00 pm – 7:00 pm led by SAMA voice instructor Sarah Neely.
What is the tuition for the SAMA Elite class?
The SAMA Elite has a flat monthly tuition of $89/month.
How many performances does the SAMA Elite have each year?
In addition to formal recitals at the LOL Comedy Club, the Elite aims to perform a minimum of 5 public performances per year. Performances in the past have included events such as Fiesta Nueva, Helotes Winterfest, San Antonio Spurs games, and caroling on the Riverwalk during Christmas time. We love to hear from Elite members on where they would like to perform, so feel free to make suggestions.
Do I have to perform at every Elite performance?
It is strongly encouraged that Elite members make each and every performance. With that being said, we do understand that circumstances do come up. If you are unable to make a performance, please notify the administrative staff or your instructor beforehand.
